Zara Larsson Writes Rambling Non-Apology To James Charles Over Boyfriend Accusations – LOOK! – Perez Hilton

Zara Larsson is speaking out again, days after first accusing James Charles of

It all starts with Larsson setting the scene again in response to Charles’ most recent video, in which he explicitly discusses this accusation and explains his side of the story. Openly, Zara admits that the direct message James initially wrote wasn’t nearly as bad as what she alluded to with her original accusation, while still failing to actually, you know, apologize.

Here’s the first part of her message to James (below):

“When I wrote my tweet saying you hit up my boyfriend, I never in a million years expected it to blow up the way it did. I feel extra bad considering the fact that I later on corrected myself and took down my tweet after my boyfriend talked to me and showed me the DM. It really wasn’t that bad. But obviously, since everybody loves some drama, no one really cared about me trying to explain how it really went down. Of course you’re allowed to flirt with people online, like I did, and to call someone beautiful in the comments is only nice! No harm done. I do think it’s disrespectful though to try it with someone who is taken and I must admit I have a hard time believing you didn’t know we were in a relationship since he posts about me.”

And she continues on from there, seemingly criticizing James for the type of man he’s attracted to (again, another thing Charles discussed and explained in his response video!) while reassuring the YouTuber she actually has nothing against him (below):

“What seems to be the thing here is that my boyfriend wasn’t the only one and that’s why I don’t condone that behavior. You have for example previously tweeted saying that straight men will be the death of you etc which is concerning considering the fact that they will never give consent, since they don’t play for team D. There’s so many gorgeous, amazing, funny, talanted [sic], charming and charasmitic [sic] gay guys out there and yet you seem to love the straights. That’s why I think it’s problematic, just like it’s problematic when straight guys try to turn lesbians straight. Hopefully good things will come out of this cause I belive [sic] you have a good heart. I don’t know you personally but the only thing I know is that Brian and I have absolutely nothing against you. And I whole heartily believe that one of the reasons this got way out of proportion is homophobia and the fact that this effected [sic] straight men.”

And finally, Larsson wraps up with a note about anxiety — the only time she actually says ‘sorry’ in the whole post! — before delivering a whopper of a finale in which she admits she’s only trying to clear things up so she can sleep at night (below):

“I’ve been thinking about writing something eirlier [sic] and I’m sorry I didn’t. I’m sorry for the heavy anxiety you must’ve been going through these past weeks. I have a lot of anxiety myself, which is one of the reasons I’m writing this. If I don’t clear this up I won’t be able to sleep at night. Take care.”

Hmmm…

Quite the non-apology for a letter that — at least based on the first sentence or two — sure seemed like it was headed into apology territory! And the selfish ending about needing to sleep at night? Girl you helped create this firestorm! Not saying James is innocent at all, but come on… gotta own what YOU put out there, too!!!

What do U think about this whole controversy, and Zara’s clarification now that James has responded to it in the first place?! Does she have good points here? Should she have just apologized??

Sound OFF on all of it and more YouTube drama in the comments (below)…
