I feel this frustration daily, in every situation. It actually makes me feel quite lonely and sad. Even among a big group of friends, I never seem to have anyone’s full attention any more.
Come on people – live in the moment! You can’t appreciate what is happening around you if you’re eyes are always focused on your phone.
Social media? Ha! Anti social media, more like.
This one really makes you think about how long all of us spend on our cellphones and computers, and the fact we’re so obsessed with documenting every part of our lifes we forget to live if sometimes.
For my part, I can say that I always try and keep media creation and being with friends separate. If I’m “in the mode,” I’m exactly like all the folk on their phones. but when I’m with friends, I’m there…and as awkward as can be. Especially when I note others jumping around their phones too entertain themselves or others. It’s what it is. 😀
Haha. I woke up down today. You’ve chreeed me up!
